Home Curiosity Privacy Policy

This is a legal document which sets out how Home Curiosity handles data which is personal to you. You must read it in conjunction with the Home Curiosity Terms and Conditions, of which this Privacy Policy forms a part.

1. Information which members (i.e those visitors to the site who have registered) offer voluntarily after registration is complete may be put on the site. This will consist of addresses of properties and images and titles of images relating to the said properties. Your name and email address provided on registration will NOT appear on the public part of the website and therefore cannot be viewed by visitors to the site.
2. We are the sole owners of information collected by Home Curiosity. Any information i.e addresses and images of property which appear on the public part of the website may also very occasionally be used for promotion of the website through various media methods.
3. Details provided on registration i.e name, address and email address will not be sold or shared with third parties if you indicate an express wish that we must not do this. This can be done by emailing us otherwise we may very occasionally allow third parties access to this data.
4. The Data Protection Act 1998 (United Kingdom) governs your rights to access personal information that we hold about you. There are further details at www.dataprotection.gov.uk where you can also search our Data Protection Notification. You have the right to ask us about the personal information we keep and to request a copy of your personal data upon proof of identification. This is a service for which we will charge a small administration fee, as allowed by law.
5. We reserve the right to communicate all or part of members’ personal information to third parties if it is for the purpose of compliance with a legal obligation.
6. Home Curiosity may in the future wish to contact you via email with details of offers, promotions, new features or services unless you indicate by email that you do not wish us to contact you.
7. All personal information held by us is on and processed by computers located in the United Kingdom.
8. If all or substantially all of the assets which Home Curiosity uses to conduct its business are aquired by a third party we may transfer personal data that we hold to that party so that the party who acquires Home Curiosity can continue to operate the Home Curiosity site.
9. You may have your registration details removed at any time by an email request by you.
10. We will retain your personal data for only as long as is necessary for the purpose to which you have consented under Home Curiosity’s Terms and Conditions or is required by law. We will delete the said information upon the cessation of such a term.
11. Home Curiosity will contain links to other sites but we are not responsible in any way for the privacy practices of those sites. You must read their privacy policies too in order to be satisfied that your data is being treated as you wish.
12. Home Curiosity reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy in part or in its entirety. The new Privacy Policy will take effect immediately following notification of any change of the policy by way of a notice placed on the Home Curiosity Home Page.
